Plaid & leopard

It's starting to feel like Fall. . . kinda. It's Texas, so 85 feels like Fall. I love busting out this plaid shirt, its gives a casual cool feel and it's super comfy! I added a bold bib necklace to dress it up along with a leopard smoking loafer. I like mixing plaid with things unexpected. Try mixing it with a sparkly skirt or even a boho vest.

Crop Top

This is an outfit I wore to work last week. I really love this crop top and crop tops in general. One important thing to remember when wearing a crop top is balance. Pair it with a pant or skirt with a high waist. Nobody wants to see that much of your stomach. A little peek is ok though ;)

Now since I wore this to work and I wanted to make sure it was appropriate, I paired It with a high waisted pencil skirt. I made sure the skirt was high enough that no stomach showed at all. What I like about this silhouette, is that the top is boxy and the skirt is more fitted.

This outfit doesn't really need a third piece, but since my office tends to get cold I paired it with a grey kimono style sweater. Note: if your office is a conservative office I would stay away from this look altogether. This outfit would also be perfect for date night or almost anything! Thin of different ways you might style a crop top you have at home.

Smart Shopping

Okay, first off I'd like to say I've been a bad blogger recently. It seems life (mainly work) gets in the way some times. And I'm seriously looking into getting an actual, real (adult) camera instead of using the camera on my Mac. The problem is, its starting to get dark and my Mac doesn't take great photos in dim light.

So, on to my outfit. I stopped working in an actually retail store about a month ago, so I'm finding my access to clothes and great deals has been limited. I'm also seriously missing my discount. When shopping on a budget I find, for myself, one of the best places to shop is Forever 21. The problem is navigating that store, going through all the inventory, plus the crowds in there just makes me stay away all together.

Solution! Shopping online. If you sign up on their E-mail list they are always doing sales. And if your like me, who wants to pay shipping? They often do free shipping. Navigating their website is a lot easier than trying to find something in their store.

Below I purchased this blouse online for about $17 and it was free shipping. So no having to dig or be shoved by inconsiderate shoppers. So win win! I paired this blouse with a dark pair of skinny jeans and a pair of ankle booties.
